From Frustrated Craft to Sovereign Software
The digital economy promised independent workers freedom, flexibility, and global reach. Yet for genuine craftspeople—the mathematics professor teaching complex calculus, the studio potter throwing porcelain, or the baker waking at 4:00 AM to tend naturally leavened sourdough—the internet delivered friction rather than freedom.
Existing aggregators treat high-skill human talent like interchangeable gig commodities. They take 20% to 50% commission cuts, disguise customer relationships behind anonymous interfaces, and force creative professionals to piece together disjointed tools: juggling WhatsApp messages, Google Calendars, spreadsheets, and manual bank transfers just to stay afloat.
Witnessing this first-hand, Pooja Mathur and Vishal Gupta founded Sukarni Technology Private Limited. The conviction was simple: master practitioners don't need another generic marketplace. They need dedicated, domain-tailored software primitives engineered from the ground up for how they actually work.
